“Collaboration is key in the artistic realm, where minds meld and ideas flow freely.”

I started as a nursing student, attempting to follow in my mother’s footsteps. However, her feet are much smaller than mine and I’ve learned that unfortunately, I cannot fit into her shoes. I underestimated the tolerance needed for such a demanding job and have now developed a deeper respect for all nurses.
I had a chat with my inner child. She said, “What the hell are you doing… why aren’t you doing what makes us happy.” So I transferred schools and obtained my Associate’s Degree in Visual Arts, spring 2023. In earning this degree and connecting with wonderful people, I learned what was necessary for a strong foundation to build toward a fulfilling career in the creative field.
It wasn’t until my sophomore year that I rediscovered my love for photography. All it took was a film photography class with Professor Eric Weeks. He inspired me to get my own film camera and dive deeper into capturing the world through my lens. This chapter was a game-changer for me—it showed me that photography wasn’t just about taking pictures; it was a gateway to my next steps.
Since moving here, I’ve had the pleasure of working in different roles that helped me connect with so many fascinating people. From wedding venues to JCPenny Portraits, from local events to nightclub photography, these experiences taught me how to listen, problem-solve, and invest in meaningful connections. Whether it’s collaborating on a shoot or designing something unique, I always try to bring a personal touch to everything I do.
Now, I’m focused on learning like a sponge and finding my voice as both a photographer and designer. My goal is to be my own creative business, strengthen my skills, and eventually step into the roles of a creative and art director, as well as a director of photography.
My soul is on fire, I’m excited.
